Ross Mann

Ross has spent most of his working life doing residential construction and renovation but has had lifelong interest in arts such as painting, sculpture and design. His knowledge of tools and materials assists his sculpture and furniture making. Oil is his preferred painting medium and typical subjects are the beautiful Whangarei Heads geology, flora and fauna and beaches and bush. Sculpture materials are native and exotic timbers, driftwood and Oamaru stone. His furniture is usually made from demolition kauri but also other upcycled wood and flotsam.
Ross has shown his work at ‘Sculpture on Shore’ and ‘Art in the Park’ in Auckland and at the Quarry Gardens, the Sculpture Symposium and Reyburn House in Whangarei.
