I’m a creative person who is passionate about zero waste, sustainable living and supporting local. I have always felt the need to make, do something with my hands, and create beautiful things.

After a youth spent sewing, painting, baking and (most fun of all!) making wacky wearable art creations, I studied a Diploma in Costume Construction at Toi Whakaari NZ School of Drama. This challenged me to make with different materials, techniques and explore different forms of creative expression. It also awakened my inner environmentalist and I developed a keen interest in reducing my impact on the planet through small changes to my everyday life. 

In 2021 I had the opportunity to become the maker behind SANOlifestyle. I jumped at the chance to combine my love of making with my eco-friendly lifestyle. Today I hand make quality natural soaps that are just as beautiful and skin loving as they are gentle on our planet.  

Everyday working in the soap studio is filled with wonderful scents and sights. Nature provides us with a wealth of beautiful ingredients and I love using them to create delightful and decadent skincare products. All my soaps are made using natural ingredients and they come with none of that pesky, unnecessary plastic wrapping. All you get is an excellent bar of soap packed full of skin-loving ingredients. Just as it should be!
