I was born in Inglewood, a small town in Taranaki and my initial artistic inspiration was my mother who was a keen artist, amateur but encouraging.
I moved to Auckland and over the last few years have been able to rekindle the interest, initially with watercolour and now Acrylic on Canvas because of the vibrancy of colour it offers.
Learning from local artists on the North Shore, I participated in small exhibitions, particularly at the Lake House. Moving to Whangarei Heads I was amazed with my first exposure to the Arts Trail that exhibited local artists at their homes, studios and community Halls.
I enjoy natural landscapes, real life characters and scenes.
